All-Body Band-Slammin (with Keith Terry) This is the best CD yet from Keith Terry and his new group All-Body Band. Using vocalizations, beat boxing, and body music, this band creates an amazing aray of sounds, melodies, and rhythm. The cover of Tower of Power's "What is Hip" has to be heard to be believed. How they copied that 16th note bass pattern and horn section just using their vocies and body is beyond me. Also covered is Stevie Wonder's "Overjoyed", and it almost seems like Stevie is sitting in on that tune. 	Richard Filz-Vocal Percussion 3-Beat Boxing/Techno Yes, $5.00 is well below my cost, but the publisher screwed up and sent me this edition in German, but even if you do not read German, the CD, charts, and notation examples are well worth $5.00. So buy this and get a great deal. Price: $5.00

The collection presents rhythmic exercises and pieces for xylophone from the books Rhythmische Übung (Rhythmic Exercises), Erstes Spiel am Xylophon (First instruction on the xylophone), and Spielbuch für Xylophon (Pieces for xylophone) volumes 1-3. While adding rhythmic texture to the piece, the feet also make it easier to join the different rhythms played by the hands--as long as everyone's feet are together, the rest of the piece will fall together. This excellent DVD will teach you to clap, snap, slap, and step your way through some very fun and rhythmic music. Sections include technique, rhythm blocks, polymeters, time step, phasing, and polyrhythms. Keith Terry is a percussionist/rhythm dancer whose work encompasses a number of allied performance disciplines-music, dance, theater, performance art-which he brings together to create an artistic vision that defies easy categorization. Terry is the artistic director of the percussion quintet Crosspulse(www.crosspulse.com) and has worked with numerous artists from taiko groups to Bobby McFerrin. Running time: 45 Minutes.
